Getting started
You can set up your first match in a couple of minutes. There’s nothing to install — Matcheo is a web app you open in your browser.
1. Open the app
Launch Matcheo and sign in. This one account is yours as the organizer — the people you invite won’t need one.
2. Describe your match
Matcheo is driven by a natural-language agent. Instead of filling in a form, just say what you want in plain words. For example:
Tennis this Saturday morning at Parc Jarry, intermediate level, with Sam and Alex.
The agent reads that and sets up the match — the activity, when and where, the skill level, and the players you named. You can refine anything by continuing the conversation.
3. Add your players
You can invite two kinds of players:
- People you already know. Add them by name with an email address or phone number. These are your private players — visible only to you.
- Other Matcheo users. Find them by their handle (a unique
@-style identifier) so you reach the right person even if several share a name.
The player creating a match is automatically part of it, so you don’t need to add yourself.
4. Let Matcheo reach out
Matcheo contacts your players for you, by SMS or email. They don’t need to install an app or create an account to join the match — they just respond. That’s the whole point: you carry the one account, everyone else simply plays.
5. Set the details, your way
Everything below is optional and free-form — Matcheo never blocks a match over an unusual choice:
- Activity — any sport or non-sport activity. Known activities are recognized so similar matches can be found together.
- Skill level — use whatever term or rating your activity uses (for example a DUPR rating or “intermediate”). It guides who gets contacted first; it’s not a hard filter.
- Location — a spot specific to this match, or a named, well-known place you can reuse across matches.
